King Mackerel Fishing
King Mackerel can be caught year around off the North Carolina coast. During summer and early fall they are
available right of the beach! During these months they represent a great target for family trips as you get to experience
the thrill of large ocean fish without the long ocean ride! Many annual king mackerel tournaments are held in our area and offer anglers a chance to
participate in a community event and test their skills!
On our half day trips we will target kings along with spanish mackerel right of the beach and the close in wrecks and bottom structure.
Full day trips will generally cover many diferent wrecks, reefs, ledges and bottom areas that consistently produce kings.
Fishing methods range from slow trolling live or dead bait, trolling lures, or light lining a live or dead baitfish while we bottom fish!
We commercial king mackerel fish through out the year, so we always stay on top of where the best bite is year around.
